The gym log that tells you what to lift
TagdiBody builds a strength training plan from your level, your equipment and the days you can train, then prescribes the exact weight for every set. Log a set in two taps. Hit your reps and the weight goes up next time.

The plan
A real program, not an empty spreadsheet
Most logging apps hand you a blank screen and expect you to know what to do. TagdiBody asks five short questions, then generates a complete program: your training level sets the sets and reps, your equipment decides which exercises are even possible, and your days per week choose the split.
Underneath, the plan is built from twelve movement patterns rather than a fixed list of lifts, so the same structure works whether you have a full gym, a pair of dumbbells or nothing at all. No barbell? You still get a coherent plan, not a broken one.
- Two to six training days, with the split you choose
- Every exercise fitted to the equipment you actually own
- Swap any lift for a suggestion that matches the pattern
Progression
The weight picks itself
Every weighted lift is prescribed as a weight and a rep range. What happens next is a rule, not a guess:
- Hit the top of the range on every set, and the weight goes up next session.
- Land anywhere inside the range, and the weight holds while you chase more reps.
- Fall short, and it steps the weight down straight away, so your next session is one you can finish.
Bodyweight and band exercises progress by reps instead, and timed holds by seconds. Coming back after a couple of weeks off? One tap trims your weights so the first week back feels right, and one tap declines it.
Typing a different weight mid-session is not fighting the app. It carries that weight through your remaining sets and anchors the next session to what you actually lifted.
Rest timer
A timer you do not have to watch
The rest timer starts itself when you log a set and counts down in the Dynamic Island and on the lock screen, so you can put the phone down between sets. It chimes when your rest is up even with the phone locked and in your pocket.
It also holds the next set until the rest is done, which is the point of resting. Skip it any time you want, and drag the timer card anywhere on screen that suits you.
Your schedule
No guilt mechanics, anywhere
Miss a day and the plan simply slides forward. There is no missed-workout mark in the app, because a red cross on a calendar has never made anyone train. The calendar records what you did, never what you did not.
Feel like training on a rest day? Start a one-off workout. It is logged in full and counts toward your streak, but it moves nothing: not your rotation, not your weights. Train extra without breaking anything.
Progress
Watch the numbers go up
Every lift is charted session by session, showing the heaviest set you actually performed and the reps you got for it, with an estimated one-rep max alongside. Records are shown in the unit you entered them in, so 40 kg is reported as 40 kg and 135 lb as 135 lb, with no conversion drift.
Your bodyweight chart reads from Apple Health if you let it. That permission is read only, it is only ever your weight, and nothing read from Health is stored by the app.
How it works
From install to your first working set
-
Answer five screens
Experience level, a few numbers, the equipment you have, how many days you can train and how to split them. No account, no email, nothing to verify.
-
Get your plan
A full program appears, with starting weights worked out for each exercise from your level and bodyweight, ready to edit if you disagree.
-
Train, and it adjusts
Log sets as you go. Each session sets the weights for the next one, and the schedule follows you rather than the other way around.
Also in the box
The details that make it usable in a real gym
Kilograms or pounds, natively
Pounds are not a converted view of kilograms. Prescriptions land on real plate jumps in whichever unit you train in, so your numbers never drift by a fraction.
iCloud sync
Your plan and history sync through your own private iCloud database. No server of ours ever sees your training.
Heavy and volume days
An effort dial adjusts the whole session for the day you are having, without permanently changing your plan.
Full data export
Export everything as JSON whenever you want: workouts, sets, weights, settings and progression state.
Built for accessibility
Full Dynamic Type support up to the largest accessibility sizes, and VoiceOver labels throughout.
Warm up and cool down
Suggestions matched to the muscles you are about to train, offered rather than enforced. Nothing is logged for you.

Questions
Before you buy
Is this a subscription?
No. TagdiBody is a one-time purchase of 9.99 US dollars. There is nothing to cancel, no free trial that turns into a bill, and no feature held back behind a second payment.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email and no password anywhere in the app. Your purchase lives in your App Store account, and your training lives on your phone.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Everything runs on your phone, including generating your plan and working out your weights. A connection is only used to sync to your own iCloud.
Will my data move to a new iPhone?
Yes, through iCloud, if you are signed in. Your plan, history and weights come back automatically. You can also export everything as a JSON file at any time.
What does it read from Apple Health?
Only your bodyweight, and only to draw a chart. The permission is read only, TagdiBody never writes anything to Health, and nothing read from Health is stored by the app or synced to iCloud.
What happens if I miss a workout?
Nothing. Your plan advances when you train, not when the calendar says so, so the next session is simply the next one whenever you show up. The app has no missed-day state to feel bad about.
Can I train in pounds?
Yes, and properly. Weights in pounds are prescribed on real pound plate jumps rather than converted from kilograms, so 135 stays 135. You can switch units whenever you like without changing anything already recorded.
Is there an Apple Watch app, or an Android version?
No to both. TagdiBody is an iPhone app. Building it without accounts or a server is what keeps it a one-time purchase, and that choice rules Android out.
Who made this?
One lifter who got tired of paying a yearly subscription for a workout logger and used about a tenth of it. Questions go to a person, at tagdibody@icloud.com.
Ready?
Let the app do the thinking. You do the lifting.
Five screens to answer, and your first session is on screen with the weights filled in.
